The Prisoner Who Wore Glasses, it is interesting to see the two main characters of the story relate to one another, they have different positions. In the beginning of the story, we see Hannetjie trying to gain control over Brille, always trying to get him in trouble and punished, but as we read on, Brille turns the light onto Hannetjie saying don’t you like your own medicine? And this is one of the turning points of the story.
2. Describe the main character's situation. Where does he/she live? Does he/she live alone or with others? What does the main chracter do for a living, or is he/she dependent on others for support?
Hannetjie, a tough new prison guard or warder, takes charge of Span One, a closely-knit group of black political prisoners in a South African.Hannetjie punishes Brille, the prisoner with glasses, severely for stealing and talking back to him. Eventually, Brille catches Hannetjie stealing fertilizer and uses this leverage to strike a bargain with him.
3. What are some of the chief characteristics(personality traits of the character? How are these characteristics revealed in the story? How does the main chracter interact with other characters? Npte the degree of complexity of his/her behavior, thought, and feelings; their appearances, their habits, mannerisms, speech, attitudes and values what is the main character's attitude towards his/her life? Is he/she happy or sad, content or discontented? Why?
Brille is presented as the protagonist. The central character, becomes the hero amongst his group, and displays empathy to his group and family. Hannetjie plays the role of the antagonist even though Hannetjie takes on the biggest change in behavior.
4. What sort of conflict is the character facing? How is this conflict revealed? Is it resolved? If so, how?
Brille betrays Hannetjie after he brides Brille into not telling of the stolen fertilizer. The prison only uses white warders to oversee the black prisoners. No warder has lasted more than a week with the group.
5. Is any character a developing character? If so, is his change a large or a small one? Is it a plausible cange for him? Is he sufficiently motivated? Is the change given sufficient time?
Brille has a conversation with Hannetjie the next day and Hannetjie confesses. He begins to treat Span One with a different manner than in the beginning of the story. Weak men tend to be easily intimidated

What are the main events in the story, and how are they related to each other?
No black warden could be in charge of a political prisoner because they were afraid he would be easily swayed. They are related, because the story is talking who gonna get or steal the warden and who will use it.

seemed sick and distracted, so he told him to get some rest.
They come across a dead young woman on a sickbed and a
grief stricken young man, who says he's Godfrey Staunton. Armstrong comes in
and is really mad. The three men go outside, leaving Godfrey in peace. Holmes
explains that he only wants to help Godfrey and won't publicize any details
that are private. Armstrong admits he misjudged Holmes's character and tells
the truth.
The young woman upstairs is Mrs. Staunton, Godfrey's secret wife. She was the daughter of his landlady and they fell in love. But they had to marry in secret because of crazy Lord Mount-James would disinherit Godfrey if he found out that his nephew married a lower-class girl. The wife became ill, and Dr. Armstrong was helping her and Godfrey. He sent word that she was dying, and Godfrey ran off to be with her. The mystery man he left with that night was the girl's father. Holmes agrees to keep this all a secret, and he and Watson leave.
